Mission
We are fostering a safe and positive community for current and aspirational independent filmmakers, behind and in front of the camera, to grow skill sets and level up abilities to achieve their movie making goals.
Community is at the heart of everything we do, and Tallahassee Filmmakers provides opportunities, engages members with useful and relevant information, and nurtures a positive space where anyone with a desire to be involved can take part in local and regional movie productions. With monthly meetings, workshops throughout the year, and multiple filmmaking challenges and competitions, there are no limits to get creatively invested with fellow filmmakers in the region.

Rules & Conduct
Hate speech, bullying, and harassment will not be tolerated. If you are found out to be bullying or harassing someone (whether in this group or outside of it) online, in person, or otherwise, you will be banned from this group, which includes our events, contests, and workshops in all forms. Bullying and harassment based on (including but not limited to) race, sexuality, religion, gender, or identity has no place in the filmmaking community.
Be kind and courteous. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. Healthy debates are encouraged.
No promotions or spam. Please share relevant, local events for screenings or events that deal with filmmaking in any of its aspects. Posting on our website or social media pages numerous times about your event/topic but otherwise not engaging with our group will result in being banned.
No use of generative AI. We recognize the negative impacts and implications of generative AI to “create” images, video, and audio, and are forbidding it to be a part of our meetings, website, or social media posts. There are plenty of other channels to discuss generative AI across the internet, but TFM is not one of them.
